This is a bill of sale for six enslaved people. Samuel Hill of North Carolina was paid $1600 by John Coffee for these people, who were: Judy, 28, and her daughters Rebecca (10), Nancy (8), Elizabeth (6), Frances (4), and Melany (10 months). Judy gave birth to a sixth daughter, Susan, in 1830. Judy's daughters gave birth to a combined total of 31 identified people, all born into slavery.
