This is a newspaper account announcing that an enslaved man named Gabriel, described as being between 45 and 50 years old, 5' 7" or 8", of "dark copper complexion," missing his upper front teeth, and having a scar on his left arm and hand, had been committed to the Marion County, AL jail. Gabriel was allegedly owned by William Dunneyhoo of Lauderdale County.
