This school, on the old Lee Highway near First Creek, 1 1/2 miles from Rogersville in East Lauderdale County, according to the Fisk University Rosenwald Database, was built at a cost of $15,00 as a "two-teacher type" school. The database further notes that it was "built under Tuskegee."

    S. S. Posey was principal in 1924 and O. L. Field assistant principal.

    The Mt. Olive School property was sold by the County Board of Education to the highest bidder in January of 1949."
