A Friday, August 16, 1957 Sheffield Tri-Cities Daily report of the shooting of 29 year-old Florence African-American resident Solomon Summerhill.

Summerhill was taken to ECM Hospital where he was said to be in satisfactory condition, while Florence Police arrested Florence African-American resident Lillie Mae Woods in connection with the shooting, taking a .22 caliber pistol from Woods.
