The ad also advertises an upcoming Colbert Lauderdale Democratic Dinner to be held at Deschler High School in Tuscumbia on Saturday night, November 3, featuring speakers Senator Lister Hill and Representative Bob Jones. The ad noted that President Kennedy blamed "failure of this Civil Rights program on Southern Democrats--and justly so."
